FTP Accounts in Shared Hosting
You will be able to set up as many FTP accounts as you need with any of the Linux shared hosting offered by our company, since we have decided not to limit this feature. Thus, you can manage multiple Internet sites at once or grant other individuals access to separate folders. As soon as a given task has been carried out and you would not like that person to be able to access your web files anymore, you can update the password for the particular FTP account or you can simply remove that account with a few clicks and quit worrying about anyone using it again. The Hepsia Control Panel, which is offered with all web hosting accounts, will permit you to see the complete list of the existing FTP accounts shown alphabetically. It takes only one single mouse click to manage various options for any of them – to change the access path or the password, to download an auto-config file, etc.
FTP Accounts in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you host your sites under a semi-dedicated server account, you’ll be able to create a separate FTP account for any of them, as we haven’t put a limit on this service with any of our semi-dedicated server packages. You can accomplish this through the FTP section of our easy-to-use Hepsia Control Panel where you can also check the full list of all the accounts that you’ve created, together with the folder that each one can access. If necessary, you’ll be able to update the password for a particular FTP account or to update its access path with several clicks of the mouse. You can also delete an account without any effort in case you no longer require it – for example, if you have hired a web developer who’s done with the website and you don’t want them to access your files anymore. For the sake of convenience, we have made different educational videos, that will help you manage your FTP accounts without effort in case you have never used a website hosting service before.
FTP Accounts in VPS Servers
None of the Linux VPS servers that we offer has a restriction on the number of FTP accounts that you can have at any moment, so you can set up an account for any site hosted on your virtual machine, no matter if it is under a domain or subdomain. Besides, it doesn’t matter which Control Panel you’ll pick when you join – cPanel, DirectAdmin or Hepsia, since an FTP server will be set up on the virtual machine during the installation of any of them. In case you want several people to be able to make a connection to the very same directory using their own set of log-in credentials, for example, it will take a couple of mouse clicks to set up a different FTP account for each of them. Removing an active account or changing the directory that it can connect to is just as simple and you won’t encounter any problem, even if you have no previous experience in such matters.
